I remember reading about Frederic Wertham, Hack M.D. in the second grade. I knew then he was bullshit. Tis great to be vindicated. My favorite part of this article is about the smear on Batman & Robin, and how they made two kids that went to his Home for Youngsters Gay. Batman & Robin were close, like these two boys were, so they saw themselves in the caped crusaders relationship. However, Wertham omitted the humanization of the Gay from his report, as well as the fact that both the Sub-Mariner & Tarzan’s muscled visages actually did contribute to the youths realizing that Gay was the Way. Classic.
